"OK. Uh, I don’t know how to... start this. Lovro has depression. I don’t know if he’s told you this or not, it’s not diagnosed but it’s pretty fucking clear. It… It got really bad a couple years ago. To the point he tried to overdose on his mum’s opioid pain medication. I found him. It’s been getting better, at least I think it has, but you never really know with him. He bottles these things up until they explode, and I’m really fucking scared it’s happening again. So, for my peace of mind. Can you please go check on him? He’s definitely home, his mum isn’t.”
Ivan felt as if he was going to throw up. He made a mental note of the quickest route to Lovro’s place, tried to prepare himself for what he may walk into. If Lovro had… If Lovro tried again…
