Summary
After an impulsive hookup with Tim Bradford on a flight home from Vegas, Lucy is stunned to discover she’s pregnant.
Faced with the truth, Lucy knows she has to come clean and end things with Chris. But he doesn’t take the news well. “He works at Mid-Wilshire with my dad,” he whispers. “He’s a TO… or at least he was. I guess something happened and he was sent here to teach instead of training, though my father won’t tell me what. But it’s definitely a demotion, so I wouldn’t mess with him. He’s probably pissed about it and out to ruin our lives.”
Lucy chews thoughtfully on the end of her pen as she half listens, half wonders.
What could Officer Bradford have done to deserve a demotion?
And does she want to get on his bad side?
She kind of liked the spark she’d seen in him this morning, and the way he’d approached her and yelled at her had caused something warm and funny to happen in her belly.
She kind of wants to poke at him again, just to see what happens.

“I’m wearing a plug,” she murmurs as she trails her fingers down his bare forearm. Goosebumps erupt in their path, and Tim feels his heart stop beating as all the blood in his body rushes south. “Meet me in the roll call room in five minutes.”
She walks off as if she hasn’t just told him that she’d spent her time in the bathroom this morning stretching herself and putting a plug in her ass, and Tim’s brain isn’t firing on all cylinders but he does notice that she’s not wearing her normal uniform.
She’s wearing long-sleeves, her hair braided and in a tight bun, and if he’d had any hope of saying no, this is too risky before, it goes out the window completely as he realizes what she’s doing.
“Oh, fuck,” he groans. He hears her high, light giggle in the distance, and he knows that she knows what she’s doing to him. “Oh, god, oh fucking fuck.”
