Zuko had spent far too much of his summer dealing with an ever increasing worry about a new roommate.
Suki had warned him early enough at least, and had even gone out of her way to set him up with someone to sublet her room while she was gone for the year studying abroad, but it did nothing to quell the constant concern.
Dragons are not known for their ability to adjust easily.
Or: Dragon Zuko gets a new roommate, and totally definitely does not develop a big fat crush on him.

Summary
What Sokka always wants to say is I’m sorry. To everyone and no one in particular. He doesn’t know why it started, but he does know that the urge to apologize crops up constantly––when he took Katara’s toys as a kid, when he saw someone’s home destroyed on the news, when someone else knocked over his things.
There’s no real rhyme or reason, but it consumes every part of his being. Constantly, constantly. I’m sorry.
Started from a writing prompt: "What I always wanted to say was..." and it snowballed into this 12k slice-of-life/mental health/coming out/reflection piece.

Summary
The year is 2020. The world is in quarantine. Sokka is one lonely night away from a social deprivation breakdown. The man next door wants nothing to do with him. Sokka had a plan, and he's about to put it into action.

(( If Sokka was being honest, the man interested him. He was surly and shut off, Sokka had never known him to have guests in the year he’d lived next door, but he tended to the plants on his balcony with tenderness and he sang indie love songs alone in his kitchen. Despite his hard edges and dour expressions, there was a softness to him too.
And, well, there was the matter of the scar. It took up half his face, spread over his browbone and across his left eye. Sokka wondered if he was in some kind of accident. Maybe he was a firefighter. Or a secret agent. Or the survivor of a house fire. Sokka wouldn’t ask, of course, but maybe if they became friends, he’d be allowed to know. ))

Summary
Mai called off the wedding three weeks before Zuko was scheduled to marry. If that wasn't stressful enough, now Uncle Iroh was forcing him to take the honeymoon anyway. Alone. Or, perhaps not alone, if a certain someone can convince him that there's a better option.
AKA: Sokka and Zuko take a honeymoon to Europe even though they aren't married. A fake dating, friends-to-lovers AU because I'm a huge sucker for them.

(( His father would hate it when he found out. He would certainly not approve of Zuko’s choice to romp through Europe with another man. And yet, there was nothing implicitly romantic about the trip. Sure, it was a honeymoon, but he and Sokka weren’t married. They were just two friends, who had accidentally made out a few times, who were going on a honeymoon together. While both single. ))
