Summary
“Charles,” Edwin said impatiently. “We need to leave.”
“In a minute, yeah?” Charles ran his hands through his hair for what felt like the millionth time. He was standing in front of their mirror, even though he knew he couldn’t see himself, and was feeling through his curls blindly as a last-ditch effort to fix them. He never thought the no-mirrors thing would piss him off as much as it did.Or

Summary
Crystal jerked back, hitting her hip on the corner of the desk. Her body was on high alert mode and she couldn’t seem to catch her breath. Tears that didn’t belong to her streamed down her face as her heart pounded in her ears. Edwin was standing far away from her, his hands out like he was taming a wild animal. His expression looked as delicate as glass.
“Did you…” He trailed off, unwilling to finish his sentence. He looked absolutely terrified.
“I-” Crystal cleared her throat. “It was an accident.”Or

Summary
“I’m obviously glad that you reciprocated my feelings,” Edwin continued. He was rubbish at having talks like these.
“Yeah?” Charles prompted, raising an eyebrow.
“But there are things we still have not discussed.”
Charles crossed his arms. He wasn’t angry, he never was, simply curious. “Like what?”
Edwin fidgeted for a moment before balling up his fists and exhaling sharply. “Whether or not we should tell Niko and Crystal about our relationship.”Or

Summary
From the moment Lily woke up, she knew something was wrong.
Yawning, she stretched her shoulders, sore from carting around various wedding decorations the day prior. There was so much left to do but she couldn’t resist staying in the warm, empty bed for a bit longer. Empty? She bolted upright, staring at the spot next to her James had been sleeping in since they’d graduated Hogwarts. On any normal day, she would assume he’d gone downstairs for an early breakfast before flying a few laps in the backyard. But this was no normal day. She’d warned him that if they didn’t wake up in the same bed, there would be hell to pay.

Summary
Edwin prided himself on being knowledgeable.
It was one of the most valuable traits for any person to possess, essential for almost all activities, especially when it came to being a detective. Edwin had depended upon his knowledge in life and was more than happy to rely on it again in death. The sheer amount of research he was able to do in his new line of work was intoxicating. Exploring this new world of magic and the supernatural was like a Christmas gift to him. He felt a sense of satisfaction, being able to prove all the naysayers that his wit alone could prove useful. That being said, it could be a bit of a sore spot if his knowledge proved limited, like it did nowOr

Summary
Hell was a loud place. Pretty reasonable since it practically had its own brand deal in sirens and gunfire. In some parts, you could be going down on someone and still not be able to hear a word out of their mouth, a good thing, in most cases. But all that noise had nothing on the sinners themselves. If you picked a sinner at random, there’s a 90% chance they’d never heard the word whisper before. They were always screaming and yelling until someone decided they were sick of it and blew their brains out. There was never a moment of silence and Angel Dust was painfully aware of that fact as he strained to hear over the two idiot sinners next to him.

Summary
The two made eye contact and the atmosphere was turned on its head. Husk stopped breathing. He’d been closer to Angel than this before but something was different. There was a charge in the air, like right before lightning struck. Neither of them were putting up a front, there were no jokes, it was just them. Husk really shouldn’t have liked thinking those words than he did. They were friends, just friends. He shouldn’t be enjoying Angel’s company this much, it was weird. He needed to leave. He needed to get up and walk back to the bar, slipping into the grumpy person he practically lived in. He needed to go before he did something stupid. Luckily, Angel did something stupid for him.

Summary
“You know, I was willing to let bygones be bygones, bury old grudges and all that, so long as our paths never crossed.” He leaned forward and ripped off our sunglasses. “But our paths did cross, the second you tried to take my…friend away.” Dammit. Crowley wasn’t the lucky type either. The Metatron had definitely noticed the way he paused, the way his eyes couldn’t help but glance at the bookshop.
“Friend,” the Metatron repeated. He looked like a lion that had just stumbled upon an injured gazelle. He already had the dead eyes for it; all he was missing were some razor-sharp teeth. Then suddenly, he was laughing. A bone-chilling sound, on the border between human and celestial being. Several customers turned around in alarm and goggled at him. “I thought you were supposed to be clever,” he choked out.

Summary
They could still go to Heaven together, still have a life together as long as they treated this as an unmentionable mistake.
But it didn’t feel like a mistake. For once, the ever-present buzzing in Aziraphale’s mind had quieted, balmed by Crowley’s touch. He felt like all the things Heaven was supposed to make him feel, good, warm, light. He felt alive.Or: Neil Gaiman traumatized me so I fixed his show
