Daphne looked around before leaning forward and whispering: “She became a ghost.”
Edwin sat up a little straighter, his interest clearly piqued. “Come again?”
Daphne threw her hands up hopelessly. “I was keeping an eye on a patient while his nurse was out when my assistant came running in and told me that there was a little ghost girl in room 208 looking at her own body.” She lowered her voice to a whisper. “Her alive body.”Or: When a young client comes in caught between life and death, the only people who can help her are the Dead Boy Detective Agency

Charles grinned at his new mate, trying not to look too smug about it. He had a pretty bad I-told-you-so habit that drove other people mental. Edwin stared back at him in complete shock, which was kind of funny to see. He’d seemed so composed and knowledgeable earlier but now that Charles had thrown him a curveball, he was all disoriented. He unfroze quickly though, once the blue light had reached almost blinding levels of brightness.Or

The Dead Boy Detective Agency was no stranger to difficult cases. Dangerous, strenuous, even painful cases had little sympathy for two boys trying to help others in their afterlives. At times, quitting was more tempting than they cared to admit. Some cases were simply awful. None of them, however, could compare to how annoying and frustrating their current one was.

“We’re going out,” Charles informed Edwin. “Back soon.” Edwin barely even looked up. He was too busy trimming the leaves of an enchanted bonsai tree. Apparently, the leaves had some sort of healing property for ghosts, which came in really handy for the two boys who were constantly coming into contact with iron. Charles allowed himself one last look at his mate. Edwin was so oddly cute when he was focused. His eyes went all cross-eyed and his fingers moved at lightning speeds, like he was racing someone. Charles realized he probably looked mental so he forced himself out of the door before anyone could notice.
