Summary
As John spoke and pled, he lost strength, worn out in his growing despair. He had said none of this while Sherlock was alive. What did it matter now, to whisper it to his corpse in a belated admission? He could announce his love to God and the world, but it would not change that the body in his arms, though still warm from life, was empty of his friend, his love. The body in his arms, closer than it had ever been in life, would not hear him though he cried out to it.

In which Sherlock has just fallen, John fell long ago and finally announces it, and Sherlock is implied to realize that there might be another fall in his future— or, just maybe, one in his past.

Wei Wuxian has returned after 13 years lost. Lan Wangji, pining for Wei WWX for that duration and holding himself back since WWX's return, slips up and lets his desire for WWX be shown, only for it to be summarily rejected in apparent disgust. This hurts LWJ. This has always hurt LWJ.
Inspired by a short segment of Chapter 5 of “And On the Strangest Sea," though there's no need to have read that fic (encouraged, though! Review in the beginning notes.)

Chapter One: Wen Kexing knows Zhou Zishu has a sweet tooth. Wen Kexing is determined to make the perfect sugar cookie for his A-Xu. When he thinks he has, he creates a romantic evening for the two of them, but Zhou Zishu is late home from work. And it's snowing outside, heavily.
Chapter Two: A bonus Jing Beiyuan/Wu Xi one-shot, set the same evening as most of chapter one. Pure fluff in this one. Easily stand-alone.

Summary
Lan Zhan's stream of consciousness through learning of Wei Ying's death, searching the Burial Mounds, finding A-Yuan, and reckoning throughout with justice, with what is right/wrong/black/white, and with his own failures. He finds, at the end, a will and a reason to continue.
He does not find Wei Ying, of course, not for 13-16 years. But this is the beginning of the path he takes to become worthy (in his mind) of Wei Ying's memory and, eventually, his love.
