Summary
Rey, an orphan with no last name, no home and no prospects, gets an idea. It isn’t a good idea, certainly not a moral one, but it will save her from starvation and will ensure her the freedom of movement and independence she longs for. Using cunning and a whole lot of (suspicious) luck, Rey finds herself the perfect man. Ben Solo, recently killed in action at the Battle of Long Plains in Colorado (1884). Solo’s records show he was granted land out West in Montana for his military service and, he was single. Rey makes sure that land is now hers.
She never expected her dearly departed husband to come a knockin'.
