sometimes the dreamers finally wake up
don't wake me, i'm not dreaming

"Oh him? That's the secretary I was talking about-" "Stanley." Mariella turns to you, a confused smile on her face. "Yeah, how'd you know?"She gets distracted with another co-woker but your heart skips a beat in your chest, your body almost falls to the floor in sheer relief. God, how long had it been? Decades, surely. You were so sure you'd never see him again. And here he was, right in front of you.
If Stanley was here, that means--
"You're still a sight for sore eyes."
You want to ask how they escaped, you want to ask how long they had been in god knows where, trying to find each other.
Nothing comes out. But, that's okay.
Because you were finally home.

Summary
Stanley has died many, many times in the Parable. He remembers them all. He's become numb to the pain, but he still thinks this world is so unfair.
It's only right that the Narrator should feel that pain, too.

Summary
You'd faced a different outcome than your partners.
Ever single hour, memories and halucinations brought on by your relentless hysteria had played this very scenario in front of you. The very first time, like Stanley, you did cry with joy, you did throw yourself at your Narrator. But by the hundredth, you'd all but given up.
Standing in the same office brought you nothing but sorrow.
OR
You assume the reset bringing you and your partners back together is nothing more than a mirage. It isn't.
