It's a small, fleeting thing, but the moment his men announces the Jiang Sect leader's arrival, the ever-present smile on Wei Wuxian's face falters for the tiniest bit, the lines of his shoulders tightening for the briefest moment. That, in retrospect, had been his first clue.

He finds it curious, and perhaps another piece to the puzzle of what Wei Wuxian is to Hanguang-Jun that the animosity extends towards the younger man, who by all accounts seems to be a new addition to the generally stagnant, almost incestuous game board of the Cultivation world.
