She almost doesn’t hear the actual answer. “And though I have no doubt a thousand people have given this answer before, I did nothing. I was doing my job, and then I was here. No trial. No sentencing. No crime to speak of.”

She notices the pink’s attached to a woman, and oh.
“Ekko! Watch it, you’re dropping your left, don’t-”
“-block with your face, yeah, yeah I know! Take your own advice some time!” Ekko replies gruffly, Caitlyn easily recognising him from the photos.
“Fuck off,” the woman smirks, gesturing a middle finger at the two boxers when they both snicker over Ekko’s comment. She glances over in the general direction of where Caitlyn’s standing, the scar on her upper lip twitching upwards into a curious smile, scrunching a small tattoo under her left eye.
Caitlyn swears they only look at each other for a moment, but it feels electric.

Detective Caitlyn Kiramman has been trying to prove she's more than her family name for years. So when she's finally trusted with her first solo undercover case, she refuses to mess it up. She can handle an inter-regional professional boxing tournament, an undetectable derivative of Shimmer spreading in the streets, even a long trail of corruption dragging through her own organisation.
What she doesn't know how to handle is her new boxing trainer; a reckless, suspicious Zaunite called Vi who she can’t take her eyes off of.
