Summary
Kakashi, Konoha’s gym leader, has been in love for years. Iruka is amazing; he turned from troublemaker to teacher and even took in the son of Kakashi’s beloved sensei, who died in the tragic earthquake that struck Konoha and forced Kakashi into his role. But Kakashi has never been able to bridge the gap between him and Iruka, until the school’s headmaster comes to him with an interesting offer.

Summary
The last five years of Iruka's life have been hectic, to say the least. The disaster that was the chuunin exams, then Naruto's departure with Jiraiya, the village's eventual destruction and in short order, the Fourth Shinobi War. And in between this, the good along with the bad - the joy he continues to find at the Academy, the time he's able to spend with his friends, the pride he feels each time he sees his student's graduate and every time he hears tale about Naruto's continued growth. Not to mention, his and Kakashi's developing relationship slowly turning into something frighteningly serious. Soon enough the war is a year behind them, and he watches with pride as a newly married Hokage walks across the stage to accept the robes. Iruka returns home afterwards with not only the leader of the village, but also his husband. Despite everything he's seen and lived through, life is good, and there's nowhere else he'd rather be.
It's really too bad he can't remember any of it.
