“It's you,” Johnny said, voice cracking as he stared at Peter’s face. “It’s really - you’re him.”
“Johnny,” Peter said, reaching out on instinct, and Johnny, all of, what, seventeen at the most, hit him like a scrawny hurricane. Peter got his arms up around him partly to keep from being bowled over in his surprise and Johnny just clung on like a spider monkey, arms around Peter’s neck and legs around his waist, squeezing tight enough to hurt.
Peter should've known that no version of Johnny Storm would ever make things easy for him.

Summary
Flambae has never been easy. A borderline case, difficult to get along with, hard to please, and uncooperative when it comes to playing nice. He has never had any reason to be kind, after all – a man born with powers like him brings only destruction, the scalding blaze of the wildfire, rather than the kindly heat of the hearth.
Who could love a man who burns with the heat of the sun? It would be a fool's errand to not avert ones gaze.

Summary
Peter puffed himself up and then stood up suddenly. Johnny grabbed his hand and pulled him down so that he crash-landed all over his lap. He pulled the coat over the both of them like a tent.
Peter twisted around and tried to find Johnny’s face in the dark.
“You’re my friend?” Johnny asked above him.
Peter held his breath.
“Only if you want me to be,” he said.
“I want you to be so bad,” Johnny admitted.
(Peter struggles to make friends, even after becoming Spiderman. He learns that someone else is using the same safe place as him and gets curious.)
