“You brought Tommy back to my house?” Eddie barks out, more of a statement than a question.
“I-I mean if it makes you feel better, I didn’t uh.. He didn’t… There was no finishing on my end. Just his. I guess we both sort of used each other..” Buck cringes as soon as the words leave his mouth, but he just can’t make himself stop talking.
“You brought him back to my house, in my bedroom, and he didn’t even get you off?? You’re shitting me.” Eddie lets out one short, incredulous laugh.

or; Buck lets it slip on FaceTime that he slept with Tommy and Eddie gets a little jealous.

Summary
“You’ve never said that before.” he said, so quietly Buck wasn’t sure he heard him right. His arm was still stretched out in the space between them.
“I mean I knew you loved Chris, or hoped so at least, after I put you in my will.” Eddie continued with a bitter laugh. “But me?” He turned his eyes on Buck’s- desperate, pleading. “You love me?”
That startles a small laugh out of Buck, like he can’t believe what Eddie is asking.
“Eddie, do you even have to ask? Of course I love you, just like I know you love me.” Buck says simply, like the sky is blue, or the grass is green, or Evan Buckley and Edmundo Diaz love each other.
OR the 118 has to work on Thanksgiving so Buck plans a surprise for everyone and forgets to invite Tommy.

Summary
He had all but given up on sleeping when Buck rolled over, throwing his arm across Eddie’s chest and burrowing his face into his neck. Eddie froze. He’d never felt so aware of his body, every muscle tense. He didn’t realize how much he craved the contact- longed to be held by Buck. But like this? It wasn’t right. Not when Buck was still with Tommy and Eddie was desperate with want.
It was suddenly too much- he was suffocating under Buck’s touch. He slipped out from under Buck’s arm and quietly climbed out of bed. He slipped on his shoes and grabbed his keys before bolting out of the motel room. He didn’t know where he was going, but knew he couldn’t let himself stay in bed with Buck anymore- not like this.
OR eddie goes to bring chris back from texas, buck tags along because of course he does, and the hotel room only has one bed.

Summary
“Eddie… Earlier, when you said this doesn’t change a thing between us? Did you mean it?” And there it was, hanging out in the open air between them. Buck was throwing Eddie a lifeline- all he had to do was grab on.
But he can’t. He doesn’t know what to say, doesn’t know how to fit all his feelings for Buck into words. He would hang the moon and stars for this man, but somehow that doesn’t seem like the right answer. Too much, and also not enough- never enough.

Summary
Dating was not Eddie’s forté. It was always awkward, painful, and never fun. He was always left counting down the minutes until it was appropriate to go home. Dates always felt like his skin was too tight, and his tongue was too fat to let any real air in. It felt like he was on stage performing a pitchy rendition of Somebody to Love. But as Eddie emerged from the bedroom and caught a glimpse of Buck in the living room rolling up his sleeves; it was almost worth it.
Ravi ropes Buck into speed dating and then Buck ropes Eddie into it. Eddie hates dating, but he'd do just about anything for Buck. Naturally they get paired and one thing leads to another and they end up fucking nasty.

Summary
“If I had,” Chris lingers on the words, watching Eddie intently through the screen, “If I had conditions?”
Eddie feels his stomach knot up. It’s the first time Chris has ever alluded to a willingness to come home. Usually he just shoots Eddie down with a flat “I know” before hurrying off the call. Eddie Diaz will be damned before he lets this chance slip through his hands.
“Anything,” his voice rings with desperation in his own ears, “Whatever you need to feel ready to come home. If I can make it happen, I will.”
Chris eyes him, young face serious as a judge presiding over trial. An apt comparison because only Chris could condemn or parole Eddie. His fate is in his son’s hands so completely that if he was going to therapy, Frank would probably be concerned. Finally, Chris opens his mouth and says something so earth shattering as to crack the foundations of his father’s mind.
“Marry Buck,” Chris says firmly.
