Everybody knew Lee Felix around Helsinki campus, professor Bang's pretty, sweet wife, who always made sure to bring him lunch with a warm smile, looking absolutely delectable - if only people knew why Chan married him, that it didn't really matter how much he tried to be the perfect omega for him, he would always be the the second option. That if Felix had been a little more prideful, had a bit more self-respect, or loved Chan just a little less, he would have stopped this years ago. But he was glad the alpha wanted him, out of pity of convenience, it never mattered, he would take Chan however he could; stay on his knees until Chan himself told him to leave.

Chan’s irritation stirred, not because Felix was upset, but because he was twisting the situation around as if Chan were somehow to blame for his loss of control. He took a slow breath and let his voice settle into something steady.
“You’re yelling at me,” Chan said quietly, “after pissing yourself in my foyer?”
Felix’s entire face crumpled at the words, humiliation flickering across his features so intensely that Chan almost regretted saying it, but the boy recovered quickly, his shame boiling into a defensive spark. “You scared me! You—you were just—standing there all—” His hands flailed weakly, unable to articulate the fear knotted inside him.

“Hello?” Minho says, because it doesn’t seem like the guy on the other side of the doorway is going to speak first.
“Um, is... does Bang Chan still live here? Or Seo Changbin?” he asks, quietly, nervously.
“Yeah, Chan's my roommate,” Minho replies, unsure where this is going.
“Is... is he here?” The guy asks, frowning now, eyebrows knitted together. He seems... jittery. Like he could turn around and run off at any moment.
“Yeah, do you want me to get him?” Minho asks.
The man blinks a few times, then looks over his shoulder like he really is considering making a break for it, then turns back to Minho with his mouth pressed together. He nods, a short jerk of the head, “Yeah,” he breathes, “I’m, uh, I’m his brother.”
That gives Minho pause. “Brother?” he echoes. He can’t recall Chan ever mentioning having a brother.
The guy- Chan's brother??- doesn’t seem caught off guard by Minho's confusion at all. “Yeah. I’m Jisung,” is all he says.
Minho hasn’t heard Chan mention the name Jisung before either.

“Channie?” Felix whispers. He says it so quietly that Chan is only able to hear it because he saw his lips move.
Chan nods. “Channie’s here, baby.”
“C-Can I come over there?”
“Of course,” Chan says softly.
“And y-you won’t hurt me?”
Chan doesn't let his tears fall. “No, baby, I won’t hurt you. Never.”
“Do you promise?”
“I promise, Lix. I swear on my life.”
He watches Felix swallow. “O-Okay,” he says quietly.
When Chan first met Felix, he was quiet, bruised, and flinching at everything around him. Time softened fear into trust, and trust into an easy, sweet friendship – one where everyone knew Felix was Chan’s favorite, and Chan was Felix’s safe space. But when feelings change into something new and a different kind of love starts to unfurl, Felix’s old fears resurface. Muscle memory developed through trauma and pain fights against the gentleness he knows he can trust.
For Chan, loving Felix is so, so easy. It’s full of soft words, a steady presence, gentle care, unwavering kindness, and letting him move at his own pace until he can truly believe that this love is different, that he is safe, and that he will never be hurt again.
