Nico lazily peeked an eye open to gaze up at his boyfriend. He was stunning.
How could he be so absolutely lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend? Someone who loved him so unconditionally? Someone who was always there for him, ready to take care of him? Someone who would follow him to the ends of the Earth? Someone who jumped into Tartarus for him?
Percy, surprisingly, was right. While Tartarus was horrifying, to say the least, he never trusted Will more. They were so open with each other and he felt like he could tell him anything. Things were literally perfect.
Will interrupted his thoughts by pushing him off his lap into the damp grass next to him. Nico met his eyes, startled by the sudden movement. Something broken lingered on his face before his expression steeled into a symphathetic look.
“Nico we need to talk” Will inhaled, squeezing his eyes tight.

Kayla and Will have been through too much, far too, too young. They've seen more than they should have had to and sometimes in can be hard to keep going.
It wasn't all that bad though. As long as they had each other, that was all they had and it would be more than enough.
