    [It wasn’t that hard to do.] Stanley signed with a bitterness he’s been holding back for a while now. He was not to blame for this. This was not all Stanley and he wouldn’t let the Narrator frame it as such.
    “Oh really? Would you care to elaborate?” Stanley absolutely hated that condescending tone in the Narrator’s voice. “Go on, Stanley. Tell me how this is my fault."
    He should. Stanley should go into extreme depth on how it was the Narrator who pushed him down that path.
    He should, and he fucking will.

    Everyone suffers in some way, and they are all too aware of it. The office does not exist. The inhabitants do not exist.

    Employee 432 does not exist.
    Stanley does not exist.
    The Narrator does not exist.
    Timekeeper does not exist.

    This fanfic hinges heavily on the paradoxical idea of characters being aware that they are in a story, and changes to the familiar; different amounts of these themes exist in different chapters. Things will very quickly go downhill.
