This idea was… not bad at all!
If they started to fake date, Isagi would be forced to learn more about Rin, which was the perfect opportunity to finally devour him—proving that he was never the stepping stone.
Or:
Isagi and Rin are forced to be roommates and they hate every second of it, so both break the school rules to start a fake relationship and hopefully get separated by doing so. Meanwhile, both also try to prove their own value to each other by attempting to destroy themselves but failing miserably.
They also may or may not realize the truth behind their feelings during the plan and deny every ounce of it.
