What was supposed to be a simple, last minute, information gather for a case Batman had been working on, turned out to be the exact opposite. Tim followed instruction, doing everything Batman said…Long story short a shoot out between two gangs erupted in the building. Batman ordered Tim to get out of there….Tim did not. The shootout had been the perfect distraction, actually. He found folders upon folders, evidence for them to give to Gordon. One part of his brain said that he had to do what the Bat said and leave, but the other, larger, part told him no. To stay.
So he did.

Bruce needs to learn when to specify things, because as far as Tim's concerned, Robin is benched.

Bart blinked rapidly. "Okay, now you're just being depressing. Did you run out of ice cream? I swear I only ate the—"
"He's quoting Frankenstein," Tim muttered, not looking up from his screen, fingers flying across the keyboard. “I got him to read it a while ago."

Shit.
The man is blocking the exit of the alley with his body, and Steve wastes a precious second wondering why he didn't hear him approach. He's better than this, usually. His head must be foggier than he realized. His hands drop the bags, instinctively grasping for a weapon - an axe, a bat, anything - but finding only the cold metal of the dumpster.
“What's a pretty little thing like you doing out here smelling like that?”
The man lurches closer. It's obvious from the stagger in his step and the slur in his voice that he's drunk. Steve has taken tougher opponents than him - not while shaking with fever and with his inner omega screaming to just roll over and spread his legs, but he'll be damned if he goes down without a fight. His fist closes around the ring of keys in his pocket.
