When Taehyung came to visit his parents on a Sunday out of their regular schedule with blood-shot eyes and a determined curl to his lips, everything was organized in a day. Calls to old friends were made, long forgotten favors cashed in, Yongsan International School of Seoul exchanged for Daewoo elementary school, his belongings sent from the heart of Itaewon to an obscure district in Geoje, where the house reserved for young teachers moving to countryside was situated. No later than the expiry of his two-weeks resignation notice period, Taehyung was here, at a train station in Geoje, sitting on the last piece of luggage he decided to bring along instead of sending over.
Or, Taehyung tries to survive after moving to a small town while rom-com shenanigans ensue.

Summary
Incheon became Taehyung’s home. He did not work at the base - he lived there, together with his brother. Having lost both parents to a Kaiju attack while they were on a vacation to Jeju, evacuation flow brought them to a base in Incheon, and they stayed. So, when the question was posed, they had no other answer to give – they had nowhere else to go, except to another base.
And here they were, in Busan, lost and, apparently, rather unwanted.

“You can’t be here,” Gi-hun says, rough, hushed enough for the bystanders to not catch. They probably still do, the silence in the dormitory deafening.
“You weren’t supposed to be here,” Young-il says in return, leaning his head on the wall. He sighs and closes his eyes briefly. “You weren’t supposed to find out like this.”
