Shen Qingqiu had promised himself he wouldn’t use the curse he found, the one that tied the caster and the subject together through blood, depending on their version tied their very souls together. He swore he wouldn’t subject Binghe to that, wouldn’t rob him of the chance for revenge by being literally incapable of hurting Shen Qingqiu without also injuring himself.
Shen Qingqiu knew he was lying to himself at the time but surely he can find some way to apologize to Binghe after he soul binds them together and doesn’t have to fear dying horribly

He thinks of the incident a month ago, the shock of seeing a man who looked exactly like him stepping into his throne room through a portal. To bring him back with him.

Shen Qingqiu is not a seductress. As much as Luo Binghe tends to function on a hair trigger, easily turned on by anything Shen Qingqiu does, he doesn’t find it naturally easy to be sexy or attractive, and it feels far too humiliating to try. That said, he’s willing to do his best to take advantage of his husband’s attraction to him in order to get what he wants.
Or: Binghe has been too busy to pay his husband any attention for far too long. Shen Qingqiu decides to take matters into his own hands.
