Summary
There were moments when Jeongin wondered if he’d ever grown into himself at all, or if he stayed as a mirror reflecting the man who’d unknowingly shaped a majority of who he is today.
He thinks he should be resentful of it, or envious of the others who were older than him, that they got the chance to wander aimlessly before they latched onto who they were. Jeongin didn’t have that, he’s always just known that there was someone he respected and wanted to take after.
And there’s no resentment there, even if some people would be. Instead, Jeongin feels relieved that he’s taken on Chan’s image.
Where Jeongin sees their similarities as something to take pride in, Chan sees them as something to fear.

Summary
“Jeongin?” Chan’s soft voice cut through the silence of the room, lacking any telltale signs of him having been asleep and just woken up.
Jeongin froze, every muscle tense.“Yes?” he answered closer to a knee-jerk reaction than a deliberate reply. He strained to make out Chan's features, desperately trying to decipher his expression in the faint glow cast by the various electronic devices scattered around the room. Chan’s face was unreadable, which made Jeongin think he was equally lost, horrified and unsure how to proceed.
“I, uh…” Chan started but Jeongin couldn’t help but interrupt.
“Were you awake just now?” he shrieked, panic lacing his voice. Chan seemed hesitant to respond, the moments until he spoke feeling like an eternity during which Jeongin was able to come up with all the worst-case scenarios his brain could produce.
“Maybe?” Chan finally answered, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Or: Jeongin gets turned on by Chan's praises during recording and humps him in his sleep.

“You're too cute to do something like that,” Hyunjin says, picking up the cup. “I’ll take your word for it."
“No, yeah, I don’t—I don’t really lie." Jeongin's still blushing, deeper now; the man has that effect on him. “I-I’d get way too nervous.”
“Good.” Hyunjin takes a sip. “Death by latte would be a tragic way to go.”
Jeongin laughs, breathy and embarrassing. "Yeah. Right. Tough stuff."
"Especially since we've only just met."
