Summary
The concept of the show is this: a panel of experts will pair him with someone, he'll meet her at the altar, and after a month of living together, being married, they'll decide on national TV whether they want to stay married or get divorced.
Historically, arranged marriages are a lot more common than love matches. Bellamy kind of thought he knew what to expect out of the whole thing.
He didn't expect Clarke Griffin.

Clarke Griffin needs to get OFF of Polis Station, and when she gets the opportunity to buy into a claim on Eden Colony, she takes it. The only problem is they only accept families and married couples as colonists, so to be accepted by the colonist's agreement, she has to buy a mail order husband. She's got the credits, so she does.
She doesn't meet Bellamy Blake until five minutes before the space ship is set to take off, but as soon as she meets him, she realizes this is not at all going to be the business arrangement she expected it to be.

Summary
Bellamy has been working ceaselessly under the Murphy's, a slave, waiting for a chance to go and find his sister Octavia, whose whereabouts he desperately wants to discover. It has been 15 years, but Bellamy tends carefully to his fire of faith and waits patiently.
Clarke is busy helping her mother run Ark, worrying about a possible war with Weathervale and a treaty with the Clans, and somehow people seem to think she needs help finding a husband. Three consecutive balls are scheduled, and Commander Lexa seems to think this a wonderful time to visit.
If Bellamy could somehow figure out a way to go, he could manage an escape from the hell of his life; Clarke just wants the balls, a waste of time and money, to be over as quickly as possible.
Then they meet.

Bellamy only had eyes for Clarke then, the boy rushing to her side. She dangled there, her eyes fluttering open and shut slowly as if she didn’t even know what was going on. His hands hovered over her body, afraid to touch her and bring her more pain. Months of searching when no one else would, and he had finally found her. “Clarke,” he breathed, one hand finally brushing over her cheek.
It took a moment, maybe only seconds, but her eyes slowly moved over and found his. Her lips were pale and they opened, mouthing his name, but no sound came out.

Bellamy merely grins. “Now that’s no way to talk to your husband.”
Clarke forces herself to stalk away before she can give into the urge to throw her glass of wine at him. She doesn’t know why she bothers, though. Somehow, none of their guests seem to notice the clear antagonism between the king and queen, or maybe they just don’t care. And why should they? The two of them are just husband and wife.
They’re not actually expected to like each other.

Summary
Clarke laced their fingers together and watched silently as Bellamy pulled away from her street. It was only a few hours to Dublin, but it felt like it took ten times that just to drive out of her hometown. Her heart was pounding as they passed the last fencepost she recognized, and then that was it. She had left, and she wasn’t going back.
Even if her parents came after her, even if Mrs. Blake wouldn’t take them in, Clarke was never coming back here. The small town with its embedded prejudices wasn’t home anymore, because home was now beside her.

Bellamy Blake was the son of space grunts, and he’d managed just fine. He had his biomechanical ship, Moonshine. She looked a mess, but she travelled through the void like a dream, and he loved her. He also had his sister, Octavia, left in his care as a string bean kid when their mom died. And he had his crew, a misfit group of delinquents that was all the family he needed.
When Clarke Griffin hired his ship so she could disappear from the oppressive Arcadian Empire, the credits she brought gave him just what he needed to get his ship what she needed to survive, but Clarke Griffin made everything more complicated. She kept trying to take over, and everyone listened to her! Even his ship seemed to like her. Worst of all, he was afraid he was starting to like her, and he didn't need that at all.
Sorry, guys. I abandoned this fanfic, because I decided to turn it into an original novel. Sticking to the canon elements was keeping it from moving forward, so I had to change it. I already finished my first draft. I'll be getting to the second and looking for a publisher or considering self publishing next year probably.
