In which Luthien exercises a bit too much power when verbally bitch slapping Sauron out of Tol-in-Gaurhoth. This might not be Elrond’s worst day ever, but it’s certainly less than his favorite.

The House of Finwë are the middle-aged white women to Elrond’s small feral peredhel in that Finwë was not white, none of his descendants in question are women, most of them are old as dirt, and Elrond is, uh, not that small? Adoption noises ensue.

    Summary

In the Time of the Trees, during the Bliss of Valinor, the young family of Fëanor experience the everyday triumphs and tragedies of life in paradise. But as Fëanor's genius blossoms and his sons grow into their roles in Tirion society, tensions build that will sunder the House of Finwë and drive the House of Fëanor to open rebellion. Please note that this is not the most up-to-date revision of this work; see the Silmarillion Writers' Guild for the most completed revision until I get the opportunity to update the chapters here after the HASA migration.

One of the first fics I read that really started my headfirst dive into the House of Fëanor. Just lovely.
