Summary
It had not come as foretold.
There were no trumpets, no horsemen and no seven bowls. There was no seven headed beast, spat out from the abyss to persecute the saints. No stars fell from the Heavens to the Earth, no plagues poured into the lands.
But there was fire; fields of flame devouring the trees and the grass and the creatures within them. There were quakes, tectonic plates shifting with a violence that made the ground shake beneath one's feet. There was death, too.
It had not come as foretold, but it had come nonetheless.
