Summary

When the affini notice a stark lack in social activity from Aiden, and intervention is necessary. Will Aiden’s new owner show him that he’ll feel much better if he can allow himself to just be a puppy?

Following the battle of the Eternal Night, Arcadia has begun to recover. The media pushes out the idea that trolls aren’t real, that it was all mass hysteria, but many people know the truth. Or at least half of it. Most citizens of Arcadia don’t see a difference between the trolls and gumm-gumms, and prefer to ignore their existence altogether, if not resent it.
Through the combined efforts of Merlin and the trollhunters, the heartstone has been repaired and trollmarket rebuilt. Everyone is going back to their normal status quo. Everyone, that is, besides Jim. Merlin wasn’t lying when he said the change would be irreversible, and now Jim has to navigate his new life as a half troll teenager.TLDR: movie is retconned and Jim is angsty about being a troll.

Mia woke up in a cold sweat. She was shivering- more than that, really, more like trembling. Convulsing. Like an earthquake in her bones.
The sheets were wet against her back. It was…sweat, her sweat, she could feel it plastering her pajamas to her skin, dripping through her hair down to the nape of her neck. Shit, was her first thought, as if through a haze. These are Ollie’s. A too-big t-shirt and sweatpants, pilfered from his closet when he wasn’t looking. She had been pretty sure he wouldn’t mind.
