One so beautiful, men across the country would race for his hand in marriage. To be so stupidly blinded, they would haul gold and and riches with them in hopes of swaying his resolve. All that only to be trapped under an oath sworn by the gods that were anything to happen to Scaramouche, they would sacrifice their lives for him. Because he was not just worth the jewels and rubies they brought, but more.
Scaramouche was worth their lives.
Kazuha grows up believing love and freedom can never co-exist. That is until he meets Scaramouche and realizes the two have always been intertwined.
