Sometimes, he wakes up crying.
It's a silent sort of affair - he just lies there for the most part, too tired to make any sounds. The Eito he knows would mock him for it. He'd have said all kinds of scalding words about what an ugly, repulsive human being he was. This one doesn't.
Instead, Takumi tenses up as he feels Eito's fingers card through his hair. His touch is cautious. The way you'd pet a stray cat that doesn't quite trust you yet.
Takumi reaches the end of the endurance match, and gets sent back in time to his last decision.

“I know Sirei said there's nothing that can be done to change your condition, but I've been thinking of something that might help a little.”
Takumi reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a long, thin piece of black cloth.
Eito looks completely unimpressed, his eyebrow raising being the only thing to suggest his interest.
“A blindfold? Really, Takumi?”
“I just thought, if your senses are all messed up, then maybe getting rid of one of them can make the rest more…” Accurate? Tolerable? Takumi trails off, unsure of how to end the sentence. “At least this way, we wouldn't have to look so scary to you anymore.”

Takumi and Eito get freaky with blindfolds for the sake of getting more comfortable with physical contact but they immediately lose the plot.
