    Soul-lights aren’t as common in this day and age as they were in the past, before quirks, but they’re common enough that people do still find their soulmates.

    At thirteen, you meet Bakugou Katsuki, and he lights up for you in orange and gold. You tell him he's your soulmate. He sneers and tells you that you aren't his. He makes your adolescence miserable until you part ways.

    You meet again as adults, late at night, in a grocery store, over a pile of bok choy. He apologizes for how he treated you when you were children.

    after being held captive for months by the league of villains, you manage to escape and make it to UA high school. harboring secrets and trauma, you go through classes with the goal to live a normal life. but the villains want you back, as time goes on secrets are revealed, you find out things about your family you never would have known, and you make friends along the way. well... maybe some are more than friends.

    DISCLAIMER: People have said that this story has very similar elements to 'Opposites' by lancalianaimes. Because both of these stories are based in the same universe, with the same love interest, there are bound to be similarities. I would never intentionally copy someone else's work.
