The battle against Ketheric Thorm is won. At the Last Light Inn, Harpers, adventurers and refugees alike celebrate with fervent glee as many prepare to move on to Baldur's Gate. While Zaline is slowly recovering from the near-fatal injury she sustained from the Apostle of Myrkul, Astarion feels not only lost, but tired. After so many roadblocks, it's only to be expected that many more are to come. With no end to the hardships in sight, it feels hopeless to keep trying in the face of more existential threats than he ever cared to count.
Maybe hope, though, isn't something that is simply found.
