Skeppy was cold. He was so, so cold, and he shivered in silent pain against the sidewalk. The pavement was cold under his cheek, the rough surface digging into his skin. Not that it mattered really, not when blizzards of snowflakes were falling, like deathly kisses on his body. They had begun to pile up, his body sufficiently cooled so they no longer melted upon contact, ice-water droplets gathering and pooling on his skin. He didn’t know whether that was a good or bad thing, at this point.
