Summary
Xie Lian has suspected for a while now that he might be Hua Cheng's beloved, but he can hardly just go and ask Hua Cheng if that's the case, right?
Instead, he books a cabin by a lake for Christmas, in the hopes that the cosy atmosphere will lead to some romantic confessions and his own happy ending.

"Gege, you're not watching."
The silly Christmas movie is still playing, but Xie Lian can’t hear it, too attuned to the heavy, steady breaths coming from Hua Cheng, the pink that dusts across his cheeks, and that look of sweet adoration mixed with a little terror in his eyes. He still hasn’t looked away, and Xie Lian feels like they’re on the edge of something beautiful and new.
And then the tension snaps.

Summary
Hua Cheng tightens his hold around Xie Lian’s waist slightly. “Well then”, he says, his voice suddenly lower, “would gege like it if I tried taking his mind off those bothersome things for a while?”
Xie Lian turns to face Hua Cheng, and with just one glance at the dark look in that single eye, he can tell exactly what kind of activity his husband is planning to distract him with. After a moment of hesitation, Xie Lian finds himself smiling softly; he may be tired, but not that tired, and Hua Cheng has proven time and again to have most excellent skills in making Xie Lian forget about his worries — and, well, pretty much everything else — with his touches and caresses.

“Ahh…” Hua Cheng croons as he adds another brushstroke. “No scroll or silk I’ve ever written on has been as gorgeous as gege’s body. I must do my utmost best to do it justice.”
Xie Lian shivers as Hua Cheng finishes writing the character on his skin. As soon as he is done, Hua Cheng seeks Xie Lian’s gaze, raising an eyebrow with an inquisitive smile.
“Can gege feel anything?”Perhaps there is, after all, a way to get Hua Cheng excited for calligraphy practice.
