Summary
Extreme canon divergence/ AU: What if Eiji never injured himself and therefore never came to the US? The events of Banana Fish still happened, but differently, as Eiji wasn't there to influence them.
Without the injury to slow him down, Eiji Okumura continued to pole vault and eventually won the bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (which actually took place in 2021). Two and a half years later, he finally arrives in New York City. Haunted by feelings of inadequacy, he's ready to give up pole vaulting and create a new life for himself as a photographer. However, the immigration process in the US is long and complicated, and there's no guarantee he'll even be accepted.
Eiji wants a shortcut, and Max Lobo suggests one in the form of a fake marriage to Ash Lynx.

Summary

When you begin to not only care for the people surrounding you, but remember feelings buried deep down, what lengths will you go through to ensure their safety? You know all the plays, all the answers, so long as you don't change too much. But things have already changed, and you're struggling to keep up.
Or, alternate summary… You were transported from our reality to theirs. You're living in a book you once read and you need to fight to survive. Honestly, just an indulgent self insert where I get to have both boys of my dreams, and they get to have each other and also live. (By the by, everyone is aged up because I'm not about having romances with teenagers woops)

Summary
“What would you have done?” A new voice broke the silence.
The two friends glanced around; Seokjin’s hand gripped Nari’s tighter when they couldn’t find anyone. Their heart beats seemed to quiet in their heads - despite the raging anxiety bubbling up like sea foam in Nari’s chest. The crashing of the waves onto the rocks below seemed to whoosh into a distant murmur. The world muffled as the mysterious voice spoke again.
“Would you fix it? If you had the ability to go back, what would you do differently?”
Song Nari still couldn’t wrap her mind around it. How was she here? Stuck in a world that felt more like a nightmare than reality. How did she end up here - wishing at a lookout point above the rolling sea in the dead of night besides a high school friend that she hadn’t seen or talked to in over a year? How did she end up here after all she did was chase down the seven delinquents who graffitied her car to give them a piece of her mind?
