“It’s like humping a pillow,” Minho says, stunning Jisung. “Just on another person.”
“..What?”
“Mhm.” And Minho just nods, as if this is a very normal conversation to have. Maybe between other best friends, but not– Not between them. At least, not before this moment. “What, have you never done it?”

“I’m just curious,” Jisung insists. He fidgets on the bed, pressing harder against the cool wall at his back. The words feel wrong in his mouth, like chewing on grains of sand. Like a lie. “Can't a guy be curious about his friends' sex lives?”
Changbin flicks his forehead with aggression that Jisung thinks is wholly unwarranted. “You deserved that,” Changbin informs him and smiles, an awful, knowing smile that makes Jisung instantly uneasy. “Is that what's eating at you, that you’ve never had Minho-hyung like that? Being his self-proclaimed soulmate and favourite person in the world isn’t enough, is it? You want all of him to yourself.” Changbin tsks, wagging a finger at him. “Greedy, greedy Hannie.”

“I’m not gay,” he breathed, when the clock blinked two in the morning and Jisung asked if he could kiss him. “I— I like girls. Women. You know that, right?”
Jisung pouted, and Minho almost wanted to rip out a page from his sketchpad right there and then. “That’s a shame. From how much you’ve drawn me, I thought you’d be a little attracted.”
He sunk against Minho’s side, exhausted, and Minho wondered if he’d always been this soft. Jisung’s brown hair fell over his tired eyes in a tempting curtain that made him itch to reach out and push back, because nothing could ever hide Jisung’s eyes from him, because he thought he’d drag Jisung’s eyelids apart while he slept if he knew it wouldn’t wake the boy. That boy sighed then, murmuring something about taking a nap, and he licked his full lips.
Just this once, Minho thought, when he grabbed the side of Jisung’s face and dragged him in. Just this once.
or, Minho forgets how to create, until he finds a muse in an anxious boy and the fire behind his eyes.

Wei WuXian sniffs it and his eyes immediately start watering. "Oh, you're my new favorite person," he tells Lan SiZhui. "Sorry Lan Zhan."
"I thought the rabbits were your best friends," Lan WangJi says mildly.
"They're all tied," Wei WuXian decides. "Anyway, they're my best friends. You were my favorite person. There's a difference. No matter now, you've been eclipsed. Hey, SiZhui, I'm your dad now."
Lan SiZhui laughs with pleased embarrassment. "Ahah, I figured it was going to happen someday," he says. Wei WuXian isn't sure what he means by that.
