Summary
After the android uprising, Connor becomes a permanent fixture in the DPD. That’s fine. Gavin can accept that. The dipshit’s more human than he used to be, and a decent detective to boot. Gavin can deal with him being around.
What Gavin cannot deal with is Connor’s replica; prissy, cold-eyed, and with a mouth that Gavin doesn’t know whether to punch or take between his teeth. The RK900 model has been assigned as his partner for the foreseeable future.

There was something wrong with Edward Cullen. Something more beyond what he shared with his siblings. Bella knew with bone deep conviction that whatever made him able to withstand three thousand pounds of speeding vehicle was something that his siblings had, too. It spoke in their void black eyes. But there was something wrong with him. And he was fixated on her, enough so that he intruded in her life, asked her where she was going, where she had been, what was she thinking. He wouldn't leave her alone, even if she begged.
Fear bloomed at the thought, like mushrooms in rotten ground.
Bella let it rattle through her. Let the fear leech out, and leave determination in its wake.

I like Bella in this fic. Literally the only Twilight fic I’ve ever read though (the bar might be too high already)
