Nero took the glass Faust offered, then held it towards him. “Come on, aren’t you gonna say cheers or somethin’ already? Can’t start without ya, Teach. Cheers?”
“Goodness. You really are pushy sometimes, Nero. Cheers,” Faust said as he clinked their glasses together.
Right after they had each taken only a sip, a voice said, “I’d like a glass as well.”
Faust and Nero blinked at each other. That wasn’t either of their voices. They turned their heads towards the source of the voice and Faust sighed. He downed the rest of his glass, looked again, then set his glass down.
“Why are you in my room, Mithra?”

Summary
Rustica was weird that way. He was always so nice to Owen, and acted like they were friends with each other. Owen wouldn’t be surprised if he really did think they were friends, what with his brain having as many loose screws as it did. He searched for a bride he didn’t remember anything about, and approached mountains as if they were mole hills. Whenever Owen tried to provoke him, Rustica would just pull Owen into his own conversational pace.
It was really, really frustrating.
Yet here he was, giving in and singing to accompany Rustica’s music regardless. Owen didn’t know why he did that. That frustrated him the most.

Perhaps the idea is sentimental and far-fetched, but the Sir Faust he knew—the one who led troops towards the goal of a world where humans and wizards could live together in peace—had a penchant for ideas of that nature.

As a preface: My ex has reddit so this is a throwaway account. I’ve never really used this before so sorry if I don’t understand the etiquette.
TLDR: My best friend since high school was sentenced and jailed for burglary and I was the one who ratted him out. I didn’t mean to, but I was interrogated by the cops because they suspected him, and I have anxiety so I ended up cracking under pressure. It’s been six years since that and he’s tried contacting me casually every so often, but I’m kind of ghosting him now because I don’t really know what to say… I still haven’t told him anything.

Summary
It wasn’t until the sun had almost completely disappeared from the horizon that the corpse began to stir. At first Mithra believed he’d just imagined it, but the neck seemed to be reattaching to its lost head. At a loss, Mithra just watched as the once-dead wizard’s body mended itself.
Then light returned to his eyes, and they became alert once more. Mithra watched his hands suddenly come up to his neck as he gasped, as if to reassure himself that his head and body were one whole. In the moment right after, those two bright red eyes immediately locked with Mithra’s own green ones.
Mithra blinked. That wasn’t how it usually went. How odd.

No matter how much he tried to ignore them, Owen still got irritated each time he heard the sound of ringing church bells coming from the Central Kingdom. How were they even that loud? Owen would bet they were using magic to amplify the sound of the bells.
