Summary
Henry was playing his piano when the news broke, when he saw himself kissing Alex on a magazine front page. When all thought and speech left him.
The worst part of being gay and alone is that it is tiring.
Endless parades of palace aides and PR workers and many more who Henry could not bring himself to give a fuck about come and go; and Henry hits his breaking point a lot sooner than he anticipated, and abruptly leaves. It doesn’t do much, but he knows he would have garrotted the lackey with his sheets and when he thinks of his sheets he thinks of Alex. Again. Alex, with his long lashes and swooping curls and impish smiles; Alex, flying across the fucking atlantic to yell at him in the drenching rain, dripping water on his rugs when Henry let him in; and how much he wants him to be in London, how much he wants to be in Alex’s arms.
Henry knows Alex in his arms would not solve anything, but at least they’d be together.
Or, how the Royal siblings deal with the scandal.

Summary
Auguste sets Laurent up on a blind date. The universe — and Damen — have other plans.
“I am on a blind date,” the man says, holding up his hands to forestall any more explanation from the too-helpful Ancel. “My brother set me up and I just—I wasn’t entirely listening when he told me what the guy’s name was. It was something that sounded like Brayden, that’s all I remember.”
“Could it have been—was it Damen?”
Damen’s not entirely sure what makes him offer up that lifeline. He—obviously—isn’t waiting here for a blind date, and he doesn’t know this man’s brother from Adam. Even the smallest amount of questioning would show him to be a liar, and maybe even get security called on him.
Still, as the man takes a moment to size him up, look him up and down appreciatively, Damen can hardly work up the effort to care.

"Can you teach me?" His voice is smaller than he would like, timid almost but he can't help it. He remembers the stories of bandits, how they prey on weakness in an instant. Despite his grandmother's shrieked warnings blaring in his mind like alarm bells, he doesn't feel that from the man standing before him.
"Teach you what, sweetheart?" Alex drawls in that honeyed tone only used when they're alone, raising his flask to his lips and taking a long swig.
"How to fuck?"
Alex's resounding splutter echoes throughout the canyon, making an owl screech and fly away from its perch while Henry can only stare at the sharp line of his jaw.
Henry Fox has resolved himself to live a quiet life, forever firmly held under his grandmother's thumb, never able to spread his wings and flourish; and he is fine with this.
Yet, when their home is ransacked by bandits he finds himself at the forefront of the massacre, faced with whiskey-coloured eyes and a smooth timbre, warming him from the inside out when he has always felt like ice. So, of course, he does the only logical thing a human can do in this situation.
He offers himself up for ransom.
