Malfoy shook his head, his eyes crazed. “Granger, I can’t control what I’m saying! You’ve done something to me with that potion! I feel like I’m going mad.”
Hermione scoffed, though as she took in the blonde boy's wild eyes and still too pale face, panic started to bloom in her chest. Maybe his sickness really was making him delirious. “Malfoy, hand me that vial. I need to see if you took enough.” She demanded.
As the boy handed her the vial, she examined the contents. The small amount of liquid was not light blue, or fizzing like it usually was. Instead, it was as clear as water. She felt her heart drop to her stomach, as she eyed Malfoy in worry.
“What? What is it? You’ve poisoned me haven’t you? Am I going to die?” Asked Malfoy frantically as he took in her expression.
Hermione bit her lip in worry, still holding the potion in a shaking hand.
“Malfoy.. Please try not to panic.” She swallowed, “But I think I may have mixed up your remedy with Professor Snape’s veritaserum.”
