    “See that there?” Kinger points to a tiny red dot, barely a speck, really. It flickers on screen, stationary, edges fuzzy like watercolor bleeding through paper. Weak. “That’s Caine. Well, kind of. It is him— just reverted to his most earliest form.”
     
    Squinting, your eyes rove over the dim screen, analyzing. It’s hard to wrap your mind around, looking at this minuscule collective of colored pixels. Can hardly imagine that this… speck was Caine. That it is.
