Will Byers hasn't been in love with Mike Wheeler for over four years.
Four years since that talk on the tower. Four years since Mike had cleared up his mixed signals with a heart wrenching 'Friends? No thanks. Best friends.' Four years since graduation. Four years since Will shut up his D&D book for the last time and left his soul buried in Mike Wheeler's basement. Four years since he packed up his life in a suitcase and followed Jonathan to New York. Four years since he'd imagined his life going very, very differently.
Will spent his college days with drunken, meaningless flings, finding himself stuck in the vicious cycle of searching out nameless faces. Additions to the unconventional means of sorting through his own guilt. That is, until the summer after his college graduation in 1993. The party plans to meetup each summer, this time they're expected to venture to New York. But what happens when a simple summer hangout turns out to be one of Mike's pathetic attempts to get Will's attention?
