Natasha has been assigned to desk duty and must watch the famous Y/N through indirect contact after slipping up on a mission. It was a job she felt- No, a job she knew she was overqualified for. She should, at the very least, have field duty. But alas, she kept her mouth shut. Instead she did what she was told to avoid getting herself into more trouble, watching over you as she was assigned to do.
She anticipated the long hours of the long days. She anticipated working nights with minimal resting hours to ensure that everything was in order. She anticipated the notes and research and routines she would have to take and analyze.
However... Natasha did not anticipate falling in love during the job...

Natasha laughed a throaty laugh as the startled woman in front of her pulled a knife from her skirt, “What're you going to do, stab me?” She asked with a smug smile as the woman relaxed slightly.
“I could try.” The girl replied, still gripping her knife tightly, she had relaxed at the sight of the other woman only to remember that nobody could be trusted. With this thought in mind she ignored the words burning on her thigh.
“It's not safe to be walking around alone this late.” Natasha commented as she glanced around at the broken down buildings around them, the sounds of sirens and dogs barking in the distance accented her statement.
“I'll risk it for the biscuit.” The small brunette said before turning on her heel and walking off.
