Summary
What was kind of vicious about hospital staff parties, was that the party couldn't account for everyone involved. If you couldn't stay on the bottom floor, then the festivities were completly absent. There was always work to be done in princeton-plainsboro, and you were split by the mental tug at your brain that told you to get as much work as possible, and your forever love of halloween. Deciding on wether staying in the hospital staircase to be as close to the spooky music and candy as well as your desk, or to just pass for a fool to the admition desk as you kept on riding the elevator.
