From the perspective of anybody passing by, this probably looks incredibly silly; a man in a suit with his arms stuck in a flower bed, and a cashier who stands dramatically, the two intensely staring at one another.
For them though, this is very, very serious.
That's exactly why their stare off lasts approximately seven seconds before Kyubin’s eyes squeeze shut, and he looks away as he waves a dirty hand at the cashier.
Bubbling laughter fills his ears, a symphony of pure joy and elation that fills him to the brim with warmth, as if he’s just dipped his toes into the lukewarm ocean water. It laps over him, waves ebbing at loose grains of sands, and Kyubin decides right then that this is his favorite sound.

The next morning their routine returned to normal and the kiss from the night before was never mentioned. Never mentioned as Makoto fished Haru out the bath, never mentioned as they ate breakfast, never mentioned as they went to classes.
It was never mentioned the second time it happened either, or the third, or even the fourth or fifth. In fact, they had lost track of the amount of drunk kisses they’d shared it has just become a part of their routine, something everyone came to expect. After a few drinks, Makoto and Haru would be all over each other, and with very little class or subtly. Didn’t matter if they were in a bar, in a club, at a house party or just having a few drinks with friends, they would end up with each other’s lips against their own.
It was just another part of their routine that nobody questioned or mentioned with a sober mind.

Yuki loves the ocean, and Mafuyu doesn’t understand why. The first time they went to the ocean together, the first time Mafuyu went to the ocean at all, was special. It was new, it was exhilarating, exciting, but also calming. It brought a calm Mafuyu would’ve never expected out of something so trivial such as the ocean. But they’ve been here so many times now that it’s lost its charm for Mafuyu—however, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Yuki.
