"I get it!" she insists earnestly and holds up her hands. "I do. My life is… nothing compared to yours. I don't really bring anything to the table, my whopping nineteen years to all of yours. And I'm kind of an asshole, and not nearly as smart as you. But sometimes I'm funny and, like, super supportive, I have my own bike, and I'll work really, really hard to be worthy of you."

Summary
“Beatrice,” She said, testing out the syllables. “You’re my lawyer then?”
“I am. If you’re okay with that,” Beatrice answered, and she came nearer.
Ava looked up at her, heart racketing for some reason. “I don’t have the money for a lawyer.”
Beatrice set a hand against the headboard of her bed, hips tilting for a more relaxed stance. “Don’t worry about the money. I’m not in it to get paid.”
------
Or the one where Ava gets herself a lawyer by pure chance and it happens to be the love of her life. Something, something, drama in the middle and happiness at the end. Still figuring out the rating so tags will be updated, please read them in advance.
Or coming back to writing nonsense because my girlfriend requested it and I live to make her happy.

Summary
Lilith will never understand her. Camila is a rare thing, her heart has to be abnormally big. Impossibly large for her to care so much about Lilith, of all people.
“It’s hard for me to be here” Lilith admits, compelled by her angelic face.
“Okay, then let’s leave” It’s that simple with her, that uncomplicated.
__
This is a side story based on the events of my very funky Avatrice fanfic (The Full Armor of God), it probably will make no sense on its own due to the extremely bonkers concept of that story. Anyway, Lilith is yearning and sad, Camila loves her very much.Series

Bookmarker's Notes
Lilith has her answer way before Camila speaks. It’s all in the way she traces the slope of Lilith’s nose, the sheen of her eyes, and the uptick of her lips. It’s a yes, in all forms but verbal.
When Camila finally speaks her voice doesn’t waver once. “I have given God many years of my life already. You can have the rest, Lilith. I would love nothing more.”

Summary
“Yep, that’s —” a woman sat directly in front of where Beatrice was standing twisted around to face her. It was Ava. Unavoidably, it was Ava. Unquestionably, it was Ava. Unfortunately, it was Ava.
“Oh my God,” Ava Silva declared, a wide grin forming across her face. “Beatrice?”
After a nebulous not-quite-friendship at university, Ava disappears unceremoniously from Beatrice's life. Some years later, the two meet again, in Accident & Emergency.

“Do I admire you?” Beatrice replied. “Of course. Immensely.”
“That’s nice,” Ava said, feeling her face grow warm at the unexpected compliment. “But, um, I meant the other thing.”
“If I can handle you,” Beatrice clarified.
“Right. Am I something to be handled?”
