“Hi.” Despite some differences the voice was familiar and comfortable, it belonged to the person that used to know him truly: Micheal Wheeler.
He continued, “Will… congrats on the art gallery and like the paintings… Wow! I’m sorry about the rambling, and I’m sorry I haven't called or written or anything at all.”
Will didn’t know what to say, this felt like some type of dream, too vulnerable too close to home. In a moment he urged to feel understood, the only person that ever understood called after 7 years. Tears came in slowly as he spoke until he couldn't help but let out a small sob, that was enough for him he couldn't, not right now. He reached for the hang up button and slowly made his choice, regret already burning in his chest.

Years after leaving Hawkins Mike and Will lost contact. Mike went through an entire crisis by the time he was in his 30s and determined that he is gay, leading to a messy divorce that distanced him from everyone. While Will just got given incredible opportunities as an artist and is struggling with feeling like he belongs and being understood. Both deal with feeling alone even if in their own ways, and that brings them together again for once.- Language:

“So… will you marry me?”
For a second, Will didn’t respond. His eyes shone, full of tears that refused to fall. He knelt
down too, never taking his eyes off him.
“Mike…” he let out a broken laugh.
“God, you’re incredibly unfair." He nodded, already crying.
“Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes.” He took the ring with trembling hands.
“Yes,Michael Wheeler," he repeated, his voice breaking.
“I will marry you.”
Mike stood up immediately and pulled him into a tight embrace, as if he were afraid he’d disappear if he let go. Will buried his face in his neck, laughing and crying at the sametime. Distant applause echoed behind them, but Mike didn’t hear anything else. He only felt Will. His warmth. His breathing.
I’m going to marry Will.Or
2 times Mike pretended to propose vs 1 where he actually did + a byler wedding.

Summary
After the final battle, it's just Will, Mike, Max, Lucas and Dustin, it's November 6th, 1988, everyone is bored, until Lucas proposes to play "seven minutes in heaven", those seven minutes turn into hours for Will and Mike.
OR
mike and will get paired up (not fairly) for the game, having to spend 7 minutes together in a very tiny closet.

Summary
Summer break, two years after graduating high school. Will and Mike almost kiss, and everything changes. They find themselves on a journey together after a mysterious clue. They have no choice but to finally confront what’s been going on between them for years.
“I keep showing up,” Mike says. His voice doesn’t break, but he feels like it should. “Even when you try to throw me away.”
Will flinches, and Mike hates himself for it immediately.
“I didn’t- ” Will says, and his eyes drop. “I didn’t throw you away.”

The dripping of blood is all Will can hear as he lays down in the bathtub, the world spinning as the pills take effect.
All he has to do is wait. But the universe has other plans.
"Will?" Mike says from the other side of the door. "Can I come in?"
(Will Byers attempts suicide, but Mike manages to break the door down and save his life.)
