Summary
Mainland samurai family drama arrives in Tsushima. The Oga clan has brought along a pair of brothers who seem to serve loyally. But of course, nothing is as it seems. The younger brother, Tsuneyoshi Motomina, is a highly popular and capable fighter who serves his brother for a purpose that unites them despite their differences. The older brother, Tomoyori Motomina, is a sly fox chasing after a highly risky goal that may finally turn the fate of his clan around, albeit in his favor. The complicated past haunting the family will be mixed up with the dire situation in Tsushima. With enemies coming from all directions and a mission that may very well spell the end of him, Tsuneyoshi's tale will become deeply entangled with that of the original main characters.

Summary
After Maomao serves as a medical attendant at the birth of Basen and Lishu's baby, a shift begins to happen inside of her that changes how she feels about herself as a woman, and about Jinshi as a man. Meanwhile, the prince remains far away and blissfully unaware that his cat is in heat and the emperor, due to an error in understanding, believes that Maomao is already pregnant and decides the right thing for him to do is to reveal this information to the head of the La clan so they might quietly find a way to cover for an unplanned pregnancy that doesn't exist.
