Summary
After the death of Chronos, the Underworld was too unknown and housed too dangerous of threats to claim it as one of the divine domains of Olympus. And so, a compromise was made, and Hades ruled the earth beside Demeter, claiming the leavings after her harvests... and leavings of all sorts.
Zagreus is a foundling, and like all other foundlings, he was sacrificed to the god of things abandoned. Like all other foundlings, he wonders at his origins and his birth parents.
Unlike other foundlings, he can't seem to die.
