“No, Nana, not like that!” seven year old Kanemaru Hiro giggles. His three best friends huddle around the iPad, all trying to squeeze in to virtually meet Hiro’s American grandmother. They all grin at each other conspiratorially.
“Sou-eech-ee-row,” Hiro pronounces slowly, and his grandma tries to follow the shapes of the sounds.
“Sew-whee-cheerio,” Nana tries again. The kids devolve into laughter.
