All time favourites, great characterization of the strawhats, mostly focused on Zoro and Robin but all of them get to have their shinning momments and you see more of them as the story advances. Also great mix with the serious moments and "One Piecetesque" gags.
Worth it even if you are not into the possible pairing. Very interesting canon divergence. Recommended.

A canon divergence AU where teenagers Vi and Caitlyn become magically tethered together after an Arcane explosion, which results in them not being allowed to be physically separated. As the tether evolves, more than just magic begins to bond the two girls together, and soon, Caitlyn and Vi wonder if they truly want to get rid of it.

This fic has expanded far beyond its original scope, to the point that the stranded part isn't going to actually happen until closer to Chapter 30, so here's my attempt at a more accurate summary:
This is a story of Caitlyn and Vi on an Era of Exploration expedition ship to recover a mysterious plant from a remote island. Caitlyn is a talented but overlooked botanist, socially isolated from her peers. Vi is the ship's first mate with a bit of a chip on her shoulder, and an uncanny ability to be friendly without ever letting anyone close enough to be an actual friend.
This is a slo(ooo)w burn love story that embraces all the in-between, boring parts of life where relationships grow, so they're going to spend several chapters each being enemies, then friends, then finally learning to be lovers. They'll spend time together, they'll get to know one another, and their relationship will grow (in a way that I hope feels as authentic to you as it does to me) before their bond is ultimately tested.
There is an MCD, but it's not Caitlyn or Vi.
There is smut in this fic, but this is not a smut fic.
Also, I don't overuse the nickname "Cupcake."

Summary
As Vi methodically worked her way through empty corridors, she considered her options to deal with her current situation. 'The Caitlyn conundrum!', she snickered to herself.
She was weighing up the cost of setting up a duplicate academy when the distinctive click of heels on tile made her freeze. Mid-mop stroke. The rhythmic clicking echoed through the corridor as a familiar figure approached. Vi's heart rate quickened as she caught a glimpse of navy blue hair rounding the corner.
Vi briefly considered dumping the contents of the bucket on the ground and making a break for it. Those heels, insanely long legs and slippery floors were a perfect combination. At the very least it would buy her some time. The janitor imagined herself bounding away with all the poise of a graceful gazelle. Leaving the blue haired hunter in her soapy wake. Annoyingly, she then realised she would be the person responsible for cleaning up the resulting mess.
Or
Janitor Vi skips out on her one-night stand, who is way out of her league. She doesn't expect her to be introduced as Piltover Academy's new physics professor the next morning.
