Summary
"Hi! An Iced Americano please?"
It was the same starry eyed kid from before. An oak brown beanie with a white tag instead of moons, a black velvet coat on top of a plain white hoodie that matched the snow from merely a few days ago, now somehow melted off the streets. A few seconds of wordless eye contact made the stranger break into a soft smile that Jacob hoped to never forget.
Jacob works in a quaint little café, seeing faces come and go, some kind and others a harsher. However, one morning shift, Jacob notices a particular customer. From their button nose, to the scarf around their neck Jacob admires the customer that day . . . and the next. He finds himself memorizing the strangers order, remembering their favourite spot to sit, everything.
And on one of his shifts the customer asks Jacob to sit with them for a cup of coffee (or tea).

Summary
“Ta-da!” The washing machine finally whirs to life, and Haknyeon considers shedding a humbled, celebratory tear. Thank god for laundromat boy and his pockets of lint and change and somewhat dorky, cute smile—
“I’m Eric, just so you know.” Laundromat boy — Eric — gives him a grin. “You can stop calling me laundromat boy.”
A chill runs through Haknyeon’s blood, because fuck did he say that out loud and did he also mention the cute smile and the lint and maybe he can live with dirty clothes for just a while longer while he changes his name and applies for a permanent residence in Busan.
(Alternatively, Haknyeon is a pre-med student looking for a cheap 24-7 laundromat. He finds Eric along the way.)

Summary
“What would you do if you weren’t working this company job?” Jaehyun’s eyes are still trained on the television screen.
It takes him a while to unravel the lump in his throat. “I think, I would’ve liked to write. Books, poems, magazine articles? Maybe even just letters.” The TV keeps going. “I could’ve written back to mom more. Told her about how I miss the fresh air back up there.”
Jaehyun exhales shakily at that, and they inch ever so slightly closer to each other. Younghoon turns the volume up, and the room feels emptier than before.
