Summary
Cappuccino decides he can’t stay awake long enough to drive back to his own apartment, leading to him calling Almond and asking if he could stay the night.
“He sluggishly lifted his phone from his desk, opening one of his contacts and pressing the call button.
‘Hello?’ The gruff voice on the other end answered, almost sounding aggravated—even though there was a hint of softness in his voice.
‘Hey, ‘Mond,’ Cappuccino said, dragging his hand down his face while trying his best to stay awake. ‘Do you mind if I head by your place tonight? It’s closer to my office.. I feel too tired to drive all the way back to mine.’ Almond was a little taken aback by this. Cappuccino had asked to stay over at his place before, but usually it was to study a case.. he would leave right after.
Nevertheless, Almond nodded as if Cappuccino could see that. ‘Sure. I’ll come get you.’” -

Almond shows up at Cappuccino’s office with a pretty severe injury he got during his shift, Cappuccino helps him with it.
“The other had noticed Almond’s injury immediately, immediately springing up and speed-walking towards Almond. ‘By the witches, Almond! What had even — why aren’t you at the clinic?!’”

Almond decides to surprise Cappuccino, but then gets surprised himself.
“‘Where are you even taking me, especially right after school ended!?’ Cappuccino spoke with an exasperated tone, clearly struggling to keep up with Almond. ‘It’s a surprise!’ Almond spoke with a small giggle following. Cappuccino sighed with the final realization that he wasn’t going to get an explanation out of Almond and just let himself get dragged along, letting himself get treated like a ragdoll.”
